AkaraLabs released a new Leica SL2 “SlimSkin” camera case. Two different versions are available: “Standard” and “Tripod Mount“. The new case is 100% compatible with the AkaraLabs camera base protectors. Here are the details:
- Slim, flexible non-leather protective case for the Leica SL2 and SL2S camera. Super slim and as unobtrusive as possible for those that generally don’t like using a case but appreciate the benefits of the additional protection they provide.
- The standard version has a built in bung that secures the case using the cameras 1/4″ thread which allows the camera to sit flat on a table and be removed in seconds. This version is great for those that want a little extra day to day protection off the tripod.
- Alternatively, select the Tripod Mount option which allows the case to be used with a tripod and comes supplied with a more traditional tripod screw. For those that will use the case mainly with a tripod and want a little extra protection at a busy shoot.
- The integrated thumb grip adds extra stability to the handling of the SL2/S.
- Made from a special high-quality, rubber-like, flexible matte material that holds its shape, protects against impacts, and is UV and chemical resistant.
